Kendra Gray, Ph.D.

I have been practicing psychology for over 15 years.

Before opening my practice in Henderson, KY, I worked for Methodist Hospital’s Prevention and Wellness Services, where I saw adolescents and adults for psychotherapy and conducted psychological evaluations.  Prior to my work at Methodist Hospital, I maintained a full-time private psychotherapy practice in Nashville, Tennessee. In my practice, I specialized in the assessment and treatment of eating disorders and body image disturbances; I also treated individuals presenting with mood disorders, anxiety, trauma issues, as well as personality, relational, and phase of life issues. In addition to maintaining a private practice, from 2010 to 2012 I served as Clinical Supervisor for the Renfrew Center of Tennessee, an intensive outpatient center for the treatment of eating disorders.  There I oversaw all of the clinical staff, created and led clinical training on the treatment of eating disorders, and conducted group and individual psychotherapy.

Training and Education

I received my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Auburn University and my Master’s degree in psychology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.  I completed my post-doctoral residency at Vanderbilt University Psychological and Counseling Center and my pre-doctoral internship at the University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita.  I am fully licensed in the state of Kentucky to practice psychology.

In addition to my interest in psychology, I have a longstanding passion for dance.  At the age of 4, I began studying classical ballet and danced professionally for four years.  Currently, I pursue my passion for dance in my role as an area Zumba instructor.
